Collector Panels »
A dedicated programming track designed just for collectors will not only feature hours of invaluable information, it will also offer random give-aways of extremely rare, and very cool, Celebration IV Star Wars collectibles.
Gus Lopez, from the Star Wars Collectors Archive, has put together four days of programming that's not only informative for serious collectors, but also fun for anyone who loves Star Wars.
In addition to programming, Lopez and his collecting compatriots have created some very exclusive and exciting collectibles that will be given away at random times during the panels over the course of the convention.
- One dozen different medallions will be given away at random times during the Star Wars Celebration IV collecting panels.
The solid pewter medallions, designed by artist and Star Wars collector Jeff Correll, feature imagery based on actual Kenner toy photography. The stylized fronts have the figures in action poses in a variety of Star Wars environments. To maintain the vintage toy tradition, the reverse sides feature updated text from Kenner's 1985 Power of the Force coin line explaining the character's place in the Star Wars universe.
Each pewter medallion give-away is limited to 350 of each and will be distributed individually to audience members at twelve different panels.
Examples of four of the twelve designs can be viewed here.
Here are just a few of the great panels planned for the Collecting Track at Celebration IV. Look for more updates, and the reveal of the exclusive collectibles, coming soon.

Diorama Builders »
Frank D'Iorio, the master diorama builder behind the fantastic fan-built dioramas at Celebration II and Celebration III, is returning for yet another Celebration.
Attendees will have the special opportunity to build a portion of a diorama scene representing the forest moon of Endor, free of charge. The entire diorama will be constructed over the course of the weekend using each participants creation. Fans will have a chance to build a small, medium, or large tree and even bridges and Ewok huts. With the biggest floor space of all the workshops fans will be making the largest Endor diorama ever created, at approximately 32 x 15 feet. Builders can take home their miniature creations at the end of the show.
Fans visiting the diorama building area could also be chosen at random to take home crew and other exclusive Lucasfilm collectibles that D'Iorio will take to the show.
Toy Shortage?
In order to have enough action figures to build the diorama, especially for kids who might be at the show with no action figures of their own, D'Iorio set up a "figure fund" for donations. Donations must be a figure, or vehicle, something from Hasbro that was seen in Return of the Jedi Endor locations. These toys will be used to populate the diorama, as well as become free giveaways to each builder along with their tree creation.
D'Iorio has also provided a great photo series on his website to help fans get ready for what they will be doing at the Celebration IV Diorama "Ewok Landscaping" Workshop.
